Once upon a time… Les Petits Chaperons Rouges: a wonderful entrepreneurial adventure dedicated to the development of children !

Over 20 years ago, to address the insufficient public provision for the care of 0-3 year-olds in France, the government decided to turn to the private sector.

Jean-Emmanuel rodocanachi

Jean Emmanuel Rodocanachi, our founder, then decided to take action to provide daycare access to as many families as possible.

The story of Les Petits Chaperons Rouges is, above all, the story of a commitment, built around a fundamental purpose: To offer a pedagogical, caring, secure, and high-quality environment where children and our team can grow, learn, and thrive.

The key stages of our history

Let’s celebrate 20 years of social innovation, educational excellence, and societal impact !

Since 2004, as pioneers and leaders in the French private daycare sector, we have been continuously improving:

  • the well-being and purchasing power of professionals,
  • the high quality of care for families and the early childhood development of children,
  • our commitments to a sustainable planet, health, and education.

Our purpose, “contributing step by step to the awakening of generations,” has become a reality through close collaboration with the CNAF, PMI doctors, local authorities, reserving companies and administrations, families, and our wonderful early childhood professionals.

Our 50 major innovations over 20 years come from the field, from our daycares and our teams. Learn more in our white paper !

Together, we manage over 1,000 establishments in Europe (France, United Kingdom, Germany), the United States, and Canada. In these five countries, regulations and the age of the children admitted vary. We welcome more than 50,000 children in our daycare centers, as well as in our preschools.

Kids & Company, Kiddi Caru, Infanterix… we operate under several brands. While each subsidiary runs its own business project, all of our employees share the same mission: to provide an educational, safe, harmonious, and high-quality environment where our children and employees can grow, learn, and thrive.

We are a member of the French federation of daycare companies (FFEC)

Created in 2006, the French Federation of Daycare Companies brings together companies offering childcare services for young children under 6 years old.

Within our federation, we are all devoted to our mission in the service of Early Childhood: making our daycares the reference for parents and professionals.

The regulations are strictly identical for all public and private daycares, associations or companies. Joining our federation implies going beyond those standards. We have therefore chosen to apply a common Ethical Charter, recalling our commitments in particular for the good treatment of daycare professionals and the quality of care for children.

As a member of the FFEC, we participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the positive development of our sector of activity.
